1.There is story of 'Varaha avtar' in sata yuga describing how Vishnu took the incarnation of a boar and saved the Earth from demon Hiranyaksha.Varah lifted the Earth on his tusks and restore it in the original place.The interesting fact of this story was the picture in which we can see that varaha or boar lifting the Earth on his tusks and the SHAPE OF EARTH WAS SPHERE' isn't it?
2.We know "the Geography" in hindi is known as"bhugol",which is a sanskrit word.'Bhu' meaning Earth and 'gol' meaning round which again prove that the Earth is round and people actually knew it thousand years ago.
3.JAGAT is a sanskrit word which means world.Its literal meaning in hindi is jag which has movement(jagat=jag(world)+gati(movement)).This prove Earth has a movement and was known thousand years ago.
These are some interesting facts that prove Earth is sphere and has movement. India's scriptures and texts prove it thousand years back before the West proved that the Earth is round by means of technology.
